I have chapters we want to memorize, but we want to focus on one verse at a time. I can’t seem to wrap my mind around how to make it work with the box. I’m so excited to use and have it all set up and ready to go.

Should I just keep adding one verse at a time to my index card and just keep the entire thing in the daily section until time to move on? We won’t have very many cards in our box at this rate and will never make it to the number section.

Should I do one verse per card? I’m not for sure I would like how this turns out either.

What do you prefer or do you do something different?

I know this is so silly of me to be waffling over. 🙂

I print the entire passage small and fold it if need be (1/4 a sheet of paper). It goes into daily until it’s learned. If it’s learned in a month or two or whatever, no worries. I like this best for long passages.

I keep it all on one card, but we only work on a verse or two at a time.  When we add a new verse, we recite all of the passage they’ve memorized, old and new.  It stays in the daily section until it’s memorized.  The longest we’ve done is the 23rd Psalm, so I’m not sure how we’d work on something longer.  We do have quite a bit of empty space in our box!  I think we only filled up to number 3 last year.

We’ve memorised most of Luke 2. I added each verse in the chapter & we memorised one verse at a time moving it along in the box as you would normally. Once all we’re memorised we put them together under one tab. 🙂

Thanks! I think keeping it all on one card will work the best for me. I’m so glad you mentioned typing it and folding a piece of paper to file. I did not think of that and wondered how I was ever going to write small enough and still be able to see.
