SCMO Question on Editing Resource

    Hoping someone can help me or tell me if I’m doing this wrong.  Everything is working wonderfully, however, if I go in and edit a resource, those changes are not reflected on the student’s resource/schedule.  Am I doing something wrong?  For example, I had in Algebra I but since alot is review at the start, I’ve been having her take the tests until she gets where she needs to be.  So I had to go in and remove some of the lessons but those changes are not reflected on hers unless I remove the resource and re-add it, which wipes out all info of previous assignments finished.

    Perhaps this is just the way it is, which is fine, but thought I’d check first.

    Or one other example I thought of, I added my own history plan but haven’t completed it yet.  So, if I want to go in and edit the weeks, I’ll have to delete the old resource from her scheduler and then re-add it.  Hoping I won’t have to do that.

    When you update a resource to change the divisions, the Organizer doesn’t automatically update your schedule to match. Since anybody can change resources that have been shared, we wanted to allow you a chance to review changes in case they were updates you didn’t want.

    To update your schedule to the most recent version of the resource, find the resource in the Scheduler tab and click the edit schedule link next to it. You should see a message on the next screen asking if you want to use the most recent version of the resource. Confirm that you want to update the resource and all the changes will be loaded into your current schedule.

    Ah, that may be the problem, I don’t see that message.  After I click on edit the schedule, the page that comes up shows the resource and I can choose it’s subject, dates, lessons, etc.  but nothing that asks me that question.

    Can you give me a link to the resource you’re editing? (If you’d rather keep it private, feel free to send it through our contact form.) I can take a look at the resource and see if I can figure out why you’re not seeing the changes available to update.

    That’s for the same resource, Algebra 1, but I wasn’t sure which you needed.
