SCM + Hillyer's CHOW?

Hi folks!

We are working our way through the Ancient Rome with my 7 year old son – we love it! Sometimes I find the readings a bit long, especially when we’re stopping several times to do narrations (my son is new to this, and can only handle short passages at a time right now), but he loves it so much that he sometimes cries for another chapter, lol!

Anyway, I was recently given a copy of Hillyer’s “A Child’s History of the World”. I have heard good things about it, and I am wondering if anyone incorporates that book into their history lessons, alongside the SCM history modules, and what that looks like?
