Would everyone on this list (Laughing) be willing to ADD their book choices for all of their subjects to our SCM booklist for one year?  I am going to start with this year doing it myself.  If it helps one person then I’d be pleased as punch!

I only ask because it seems loaded with selections for younger children or lower reading levels, or read alouds/main books for subjects like History ….. and I’d love to stop chasing booklists all over the internet and just go here and type in History, 1900’s, middle school and see this great list pop up of challenging books with reviews by CM families!

SCM team – am I using this booklist wrong?  Maybe that is why I can’t find what I want?  I accept this could be a case of “user error” !!

Our curriculum guide contains our suggestions, but we also have created the free CM Bookfinder, where you can do searches like you described. You can put in a time period, grade, location, or any other keyword. For example, here’s a search for books set between 1900 and 1999, about history, and for grades 5-8.

If you have a free account, you can leave a review on any resource in the Bookfinder. And CM Organizer subscribers can add resources to the Bookfinder for everyone to use.

Thanks Jordan for your help.  I guess I understood how the search worked.  I was just interested in seeing more options on it and the opportunity for all of us to add to it.  Maybe there will be a “add your sources” week in the future for those of us who have found great options but who do not use the SCM Organizer?!

We decided to make it so adding sharing books on the Bookfinder was a subscriber feature to keep spammers from adding all sorts of junk, but you can add books to share with everyone if you use the 30-day free trial of the CM Organizer.
