I am new to CM, but started implementing it the end of last year and plan to use the CM way completely this coming year.  I have been looking for a planner also and came across one that looks very CM friendly (from what I know so far).  Here is a link to it http://www.helpformothers.org/planner.html .  :0)

Here’s another choice for the perusing!  http://www.wellplannedday.com/planners.html

This is a CM Planner and a pretty reasonable price with articles every month and other goodies.  I’ve been using this along with Sonya’s Mom’s Planner and it’s been a good combination.  HOpe this helps!  Betty

Susan Chrisman’s planner, available at http://www.lifelonglearnersonline, is THE best planner I have ever used.  It was created by a CM mom for use by CM homeschoolers.  I just wish I had had it earlier in my CM journey.  In the past I made other planners work for me, but this one is all laid out for me in a very CM way.  I have been homeschooling for 18 years and homeschooling the CM way for about 16 years.  The cost is VERY reasonable, and it’s the perfect place to keep all information for my high schooler and younger student –including books we’ve read, artists and composers and poets (and their works) we have studied, Shakespeare plays, habits we are working on, etc.  I also keep track of community service hours here.  The columns for the weekly pages are titled with CM type subjects.  In the past I had to write those in each week (such a pain).  Also, there is a feature to plan out each term’s readings and things so you can see if you are overplanning, etc.  I also like the oversize format–gives me more room!

Thank you all for all the info you posted!!!

I emailed Susan Chrisman last night and she had a photo of her daily plan page to me by early morning. Definitely appreciated that. It looked wonderful but I realized that with kid set up and subject set up for the year, it won’t work for me this year. I do encourage others to look at it though as it could very well be perfect for you.

I ended up making my own after looking at all the examples and gleaning parts I did want to include. So thank you for helping me get going on that. I was truly stuck, you got me past that and I’m truly thankful!

I agree with those who have said that the Planning Your Charlotte Mason Education is worth it’s weight in gold. I did use that this year to plan everything else. We start in just less than 2 weeks and I think I’m almost totally ready now (just bookshelves and school boxes to go).

    Thanks!

Another interesting planning tool to look at is at http://www.tanglewoodeducation.com/corebook.htm

I am planning our next year’s lessons in Susan Crisman’s Practical Planner and have found it a joy to use.  As a planner geek and homeschool mom for eight years, I have used several different planners ranging from store-bought to self-made, but this one is my favorite. It has plenty of room to write, includes everything I need for planning and record keeping, and has planning suggestions that I have found helpful.  I highly recommend this planner!
