I know this is not very CM, but I thought I remembered a few folks here using it.  What has your experience been with Sacon math, good or bad?  I’m thinking about trying 5/4 with our 5th grader next year.

    Thanks,

4/5 of mine used 5/4 beginning anywhere from 10-12 years old.  It worked fine.  We never ran into trouble with Saxon until Pre-Algebra, or Algebra.  But, from what I’ve seen on various forums, this can be the case with just about any math curriculum.  As for 5/4, it worked well with no problems.

We use SAXON starting with 5/4 as soon as they know thier math facts. Might be as young as 7-8 or older.  We have had our children go all the way trhough Physics and calculus. No issues.
