    I am about ready to introduce essays to my 9th grader and wanted to find some well written but simple essays to read and outline. I am hoping to point out basic structure before asking her to attempt one. Any idea where I can find beautiful but simple essays to use?

    Would there be any in the upper years Mcguffey’s Readers?

    You can read them online.

    This isn’t online, but I know there are lots of samples of high school level narrations in Karen Glass’s book Know and Tell.

    I’m thinking of using our World magazine articles.  We haven’t tried it yet.  I’ll let you know how it goes.
