Well…thanks so much for all your input. The votes are all in now from the kids old enough to hold clout here (LOL) and…the winner is…Aspen Springs Academy! Gotta order that diploma now!
Leap of Faith Christian Academy…the kids named it, mostly my daughter. When we decided to homeschool, I was the primary income and had been for several years. It was a huge faith step to trust God telling me to quit working to homeschool. It was literally a “leap of faith.” They decided that the mascot would be a Leap Frog. I love it because they also say, F.R.O.G.=fully rely on God. It all fits.
Our school is called Campbell Academy for Boys. One year I made t-shirts with a logo I designed online, and we got many questions and comments about them–“where is Campbell Academy? Why is it just for boys?” etc. I always reply that it is a very exclusive academy with a maximum enrollment of 3. My boys get a kick out of it!
This may be another thread altogether, but do any of you have a theme verse for your school? Ours is Isaiah 54:13.
We don’t officially have a verse, but the first thing that popped into my mind is Deuteronomy 6:6-7. Hmmm, I’m going to have to think about that. Maybe I will start a thread about that.
I would never use my street name :0( It’s “Government” that is so very wrong. We don’t have to have a school name and haven’t thought of it till now with this post. Hmm you all have very creative names. Maybe this could be a school project?
I love the way academy sounds, lol. Ours is Kroemer Kidz Academy, we don’t have a verse right now, something to think about. I’d love to do Tshirts, that’d be fun 🙂
After brainstorming some ideas our DD settled on Golden Rule Christian Academy. It’s been good for elementary but for high school/ diploma it may be simplified. 🙂
