Hi all! Just wondering if anybody has read these and has an opinion on any/all of them so I can pick the best for reading aloud to our 6 and 8 year old–thank you!!!

My 9yo read George WAshington’s socks by herself last year (3rd grade, age 8) and enjoyed it so much that she helped me organize a “book club” for the other girls in her homeschool group.  They only met once, but they were to each bring a book to read a little from and tell about.  They all had a great time, and we hope to do that again this year.

Phones the Spy was great: a little mystery. It is a much quicker read than the other two.

I read Toliver’s Secret to my kids when my oldest was 7 and younger 5. They both enjoyed it. I liked it too
