I am going to start teaching this year at home for the first time.  I’m excited but a bit lost on how to handle the personal development part.  I am ordering Wisdom and The Millers.  Is this the only book I deal with throughout the school year?  It’s the only one listed for 3rd grade on CM website.  Do we just do 1 chapter a week???  How do you do this one?  Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Hi Rebecca,

How great for you to be homeschooling!! You will love it.

As for personal development..there are lots of great resources for you to use. My dc love Storytime with the Millers, Wisdom and the Millers and Missionary Stories with the Millers. But then there are lots of other great books too. They love the book by Vision Forum … Teach them to your Children. Then there are the Hero Tales by Dave and Neta Jackson. All of these resources are good character building stories.

Each of these resources could be read daily, once a week, or whatever you want to do. My children love for me to read one story during breakfast..and it gets are day started off with better attitudes.

Thanks Shelly.  That does help.  I will just do a chapter a week….whew!  Thanks a bunch for your help.
