I didn’t get an email either, but I think my membership/login was under an old email account I’ve since closed.  So, I would have to create a new account to find out what the fee options are since I can’t get to the old email to acquire a password reset from them. I haven’t used PBSwap in awhile.

The link Misty posted doesn’t show me anything about the fees since I can’t login. Can anyone give me a brief idea of what a basic membership option for books only would cost?

I tried to copy and paste from the email I got this morning and it won’t let me.

Limited membership – $12/yr – swap 30 books and wish list of 200

A la carte – .49 per book and wish list of 100

Glad to hear from everyone I have like 33 credits.  But most the books I want, like many mentioned, are never on PBswap.  So am I just out?  I don’t know what books I’d even look for just to use the credits.  So unsure of what to do.

How about converting your PBS credits to DVD credits?  You’ll still have the $.49 transaction fee, but maybe you could get some DVDs you’ve been wanting for sort of cheap.

I posted something earlier, but it never made it.

I am going to continue, probably $20 membership for unlimited swapping. For me, I’d rather swap, eventually get something I want (kind of like a surprise) or get it right away, than sell on amazon/ebay or just give to the Goodwill. I could give a ton of books away (I have a ton right now on PBS and waiting to be posted) but then I wouldn’t get anything in return. Even the tax deduction wouldn’t be much, if anything, and there’s no fun in that!

I have swapped so many books and have received countless (and in good shape), so I guess it’s been good for me. I also do amazon/abebooks and library sales (which I don’t do near as much as I did when we were building our library). I just picked up several at a library bookstore and many online in the past few days, along with PBS books. Fun, fun, fun!

I just used most of mine on some individual Shakespeare plays I didn’t have just to use them up.  They always seem to be on there.  I still have 2 credits. I don’t have any suggestions really.  Every time I search for something that might interest me, I come up empty.

I have about 20 credits right now and enjoy using them on the “wish list” books I get ever so often.

.Thats a bummer, Robin, but with the amount of books you have I’m not surprised you come up empty. I only have a fraction of a fraction of your library so I’m still getting books that you’ve probably had on your shelves forever!

Btw, I’m reading A Tree for Peter to my very active 9 year old and he loves it!

Plus, I have like 20 credits that I don’t want to forfeit 🙂
