OT: tablet and bluetooth help

    Does anyone know if I can have one tablet (Kindle Fire, the cheap one) play through 2 bluetooth speakers at the same time?

    The Kindle Fires are on sale today and I thought about getting 1 and keeping it in the hallway and having it play music or stories into 2 bedrooms by using 2 bluetooth speakers. Can I do that?

    Most likely no. I think Bluetooth can only be paired with one thing at a time.

    Rats.  Well, thank you for the answer……I guess I need to come up with another way to get sound into the two bedrooms.

    You might try looking into Sonos wifi speakers. Although, it’s probably more than what you would want to spend, but it might be worth a look. Also, eBay may have them used.

    Thanks.  I did look at the sonos and yes — way too expensive!

    I found a Chromecast audio thing — judging by the reviews and questions, that might work.
