So, I had purchased a like-new hardcover of A Child’s Garden of Verses (illustrated by Tasha Tudor) from someone on here for just $4 a while back and we just LOVE this book. We are slowly savoring it, reading only 2-3 poems each week and my 7 year old has memorized a couple already. (I would have read this a million times if I had it as a child…seriously). And Tasha’s art work is just so lovely to look at too.

Anyways, I started thinking how I would love to have some of these poems with the artwork on my daughters walls. Her quilt has birds, owls, butterflies and flowers…a sweet woodsy garden type theme with a canopy I made out of a handmade birds nest. But, since moving here to TX over a year ago, I have done nothing with her walls. Well, I just found a “very good” copy of the same book on Amazon for only $1.83 (with shipping it will be $5.82) so, I think I’m going to order it and carefully cut some of the poems out and frame them for my daughters room. I think it’s going to look lovely on her walls and she can look up and read the poems whenever she wants. (Land of Nod is SO going near her bed!). I just wanted to share this exciting idea with you all. 🙂

Something like this would be lovely, too, using illustrations from the book.  Don’t know about copyright infringements.

Thanks! 🙂 And RobinP, I think if you are taking the photo of your own book spines with your own camera, there would be no copyright issue.
