These may be on the list already, but I couldn’t find the list to check this am.
- Ability to sort by day of the week to help see if one day is overloaded
- Ability to designate an item to once per week and have it disappear once checked until the following Monday. For example, my kids have “Write a letter to someone” one time per week and do it during free time, mostly. I don’t care which day it gets done, but once checked, I would like for it to “hide” until the next week.
This is still my favorite tool ever!

suzukimomParticipantThe first one is definitely on the wish list already…
I like the 2nd one! I think there have been a couple of variations to that theme already…. but that sounds cool!
Jordan SmithKeymasterYes, both of those features are on the list. And here’s a link the wish list itself.

You can do this now. Create a resource for the activity and give it a few divisions that are either blank or labeled as you like. Schedule the activity for Mondays. It will appear on Monday but if it’s not marked done then it will continue to show on each following day. Once it’s marked done then the next division will appear, but not until the following Monday.
The number of divisions you give the resource will determine how long it will go without needing to be rescheduled. I’d recommend doing a few months worth and then rescheduling it to keep it from getting unwieldy.
missceegeeParticipantDoug, I’m trying to wrap my brain around your idea and having a tough time. Using my “write a letter” example I would:
Add it as a resource.
Add divisions labeled “letter” or whatever.
Add 12 divisions (for 12 weeks).
Schedule for Monday only.
Monday arrives and Letter 1 pops up. We don’t do it for whatever reason. Wouldn’t it only reappear on Monday of the following week?
Let me know what I’m missing.
Thanks,
Christie
Doug SmithKeymasterMy apologies, I wasn’t thinking about that correctly when I quickly wrote it. It would only show on Mondays and not every day. So that won’t work.
It is on the wish list, though.
sherazParticipantI just schedule it daily and only mark it on the day I actually do it. If I am printing my schedule, I just note that I am saving for a later date, or just mark it out with my pen, showing that we didn’t do it.
