    Okay, everyone I’m panicking because we may have to cancel our internet for a time. This would mean that I would have to cancel our monthly subscription to the SCM organizer. I’ve been getting everything all set up for the school year which starts in a week. My DH and I have been going through and reevaluating our financial situation. We are needing to cut back on monthly costs and our internet is a big one. We are in prayer about what expenses can be cut at this time.

    My question is will I be able to still organize our day effectively and time efficiently without it? How do you all manage?

    Of course, you will, dear! I (and many of the moms here) did it on paper for ten years before the CM Organizer was built! 😉 It will take more time and some erasers (to allow for real life changes that occur) but it can most certainly be done.

    I’ll let others share their how-to ideas first; I have to go check on a cake my daughter is making right now . . .

    Consider an index card box. Just make a card for each thing you have on the Organizer. Write the divisions down on it. You could check them off, cross them off, or whatever as you go. Color code the days of the week and put a divider in the box for each day of the week. On Monday pull out your cards. Do what you can do, then refile each card on the next time it’s scheduled. (You might want to keep 1-4 sets of M-F or M-S cards, depending on things) Your finished card will be your record.

    I think I’d do this if I needed to give up the Organizer now.

    Sonya, how did your daughters cake turn out? I know that I can go back to pencil and paper but 🙁 – I did that for 6 years and I was really looking forward to getting away from all that. 🙂

    Michelle, what a splendid idea! How do you figure all these things out? It must be all those books you read! 🙂 This may really work for us if I have to give up the organizer.

    We’re going over our finances sometime this week in more detail and I’m praying that the Lord opens up other areas to save on $ other than this. I would desperatly miss you all here. The Dear Lord must know that I need the organizer this year to maintain my sanity -not to mention I need all of you too! 😉

    The cake turned out perfectly, Heather. 🙂 She’s getting to be a real baker!

    I didn’t make the connection that no Internet for you meant no forum too! (It was a crazy day yesterday. 🙂 ) Oh, we would miss you, dear. Of course, you must honor your husband’s decision, but I hope there is some way you can keep connected to this “support group.” Let us know what happens.

    I will be praying that God brings other suggestions and areas to save money other then cutting the internet. I have really been helped by all your questions and of course by all of the responses.

    Michelle that is a great idea about the index cards…what a way to think outside of the “box”.
