Opinions on Irene Hunt's Up a Road Slowly

I picked up a copy of Irene Hunt’s book, Up a Road Slowly, from a box of free stuff at our fine arts school today, but I’m not familiar with the book. My oldest daughter read her book, Across Five Aprils, a year or two ago, but I’ve never seen this one.

Has anyone read it (or have your kids read it), and what did you think of it?
