….adjectives, anyone? I’m tired of using the word frightful for this.
I’ve shoveled twice so far and still don’t know if I can get out of my driveway. And, since our tiny lot is the beginning of a little valley at the bottom of our street’s small-but-treacherous-for-driving hill, the slope at the bottom third of our driveway might be drifted over when I get back! But, I have just about run out of holiday leftovers so I have to make a small grocery run.
*Sigh* And, of course, I sent the kids (teenagers who can easily handle snow-shoveling, as opposed to their tired, out-of-shape 54yo mom) over to their dad’s yesterday, and they are snowed in!
On the other hand…..wheeee!!! I can watch all of the holiday movies they’ve grown tired of without interruption or complaint tonight! I can read that novel non-stop this evening!
Let the snow fly and have fun. :). You can send some of that down our way. The boys got a sled for Christmas and they hope they get to use it this winter.
snowing… and pretty… although it has lost it’s appeal to us as my husband and son plow when we get enough. It is a tough, cold, hard on the equipment, and thankless job. Business customers hound us to get them plowed out but seem to forget that they need to pay for it later!!!
frigid! It’s been below zero for several days, -22 New Year’s Eve morning. Saturday looks to be a bit of a break, but then -25 for a high on Monday :(( I haven’t left the house since last Thursday……so thankful for our warm home :))
I hope we get at least one snow “down south.” For the children’s sake. 🙂 DS almost 4 has never seen snow & DS6 doesn’t remember when he did. I get out and play with them, take lots of photos, & make hot cocoa when we come back in. Then it can melt! 🙂
I live outside of Vancouver, Canada… Can you guess what it was doing here?!? Raining, big shock! I actually love the rain though, but my poor husband is on an outside job right now.
Colder here than in Alaska! Oh no. But my kids are still expected (unless wind chill is involved) to get outside for 30 minutes. I know mean mom here but they are boys (the oldest 5) and they need that major physical work of moving around! And it gives me 30 minutes of peace and quiet!
