NILD (and other learning development tools)?

One of my daughters was severely malnourished when we adopted her and her brain has sustained some damage. We’ve seen tremendous growth in her, developmentally, over the years (she is mostly functioning true to age expectations) but still feel she needs some specialized help with her focus and attention. A friend told us about NILD (http://www.nild.net/) and our research seems to show that it could/would fall in-line, generally, with Charlotte Mason philosphies. I am wondering if anyone has had experience using NILD educational therapy for their children? OR …any other learning development therapy you might recommend that wouldn’t go against the grain of what we’re doing at home by way of CM?
