I have started to get some books I will need for next year, am I bonkers? This is the earliest I have ever started. SCM makes it so easy, this was our first year and it has been our best. No need to shop around, why mess with a good thing!

I have been starting to get that itch, which is ridiculous since we missed a lot of fall school time, so we are so far “behind,” it’s crazy.  Way too many books and lessons to get through before I really need to start planning next year.  Guess it’s just that time of year….  Have fun planning!

I don’t think it’s crazy. I have started a list of things I need for next year and am thinking about what I want to do for science next year as well. I am also getting some of the books needed for our next history module too. I like research and planning!

I’m also trying to figure out what AO modifications I need to make for next year….

I need a good (preferably free) Canadian replacement for “Squanto” – probably something set in New France…..

I have started to work on next year too.  We usually start a new year at the beginning of June, though I’m not sure we will this year.  It may be the end of July…..but either way, getting a jump start on planning helps.  🙂

Suggestion. Go through Sonya’s suggestions for charting out a 12 year plan. You’d be amazed at how little stress you feel and how little urge you have to research and shop for curriculum. It’s like a little 12 step program for curriculum addicts. ;0)

    Happy to be in recovery,

Love the recovery comment, Becca. I need a new hobby!
