New SCM In the Word Series

    To effectively use the new Bible study guides would it be necessary to begin with the first one.  We hope to use the Modern History guide this coming year which uses the third book in the series.

    The new In the Word series is written so that each book stands alone. You should be able to jump into the series with Strong in the Word without any trouble.

    Jordan, may I ask approximately how many weeks /days each book will last? I can’t get a feel for how many lessons total are in each book, or maybe I just missed it.

    Sure. All of the In the Word books are designed to be completed at the student’s pace. We recommend completing only one lesson at a time to give the student opportunity to contemplate the Scriptures studied.

    There are 33 lessons in each In the Word book. In our history/geography/Bible guides, we schedule In the Word once a week, which spreads it out over the entire 36-week school year, with a few extra weeks for catch-up as needed.
