We’ll be officially announcing these later but I know how much you all like a sneak peek. So I’m happy to report that we are in the process of listing three new artists in our Picture Study Portfolio series: Monet, Titian, and Van Gogh.
Yes, we’ll have them at all of the conventions we’re attending. They do tend to sell quickly at each convention so be sure to stop by the booth early if you can. (Be sure to stop by and say hello regardless. )
I have not used the SCM art portfolios before but would like to try the Van Gogh one – we’ve been studying him this year though it has been slow going. I’m trying to decide between the hard copy and the electronic version. I tend to be a ‘hard copy girl’ but I’m trying to force myself to make the swich – for economic and environmental reasons. This seems more challenging than a book I’d read to be done on a computer. We do have some books already with images of his art so maybe combining those with the e-version of the portfolio would work? I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on how they use the e-version vs hard copy.
Yes, I have usually found pictures to put on my desktop background, and then we have a nice size for the kids to look at…..and when we do a picture study, I just turn off the monitor after several minutes so they can tell me about what they saw.
Thank you so much for these! You have a huge selection now. I love that I don’t have to go searching for art prints anymore.
Shannon I would get the hard copy if I were you. The prints are such great quality! I know that printing them out would come no where near the quality of these prints. We love displaying them on the dining room wall with some wall putty. Then we can continue enjoying all the pieces of art by that artist, plus review their names.
OK I’ll get the hard copy to see what that is like. It is always easy to change to the e-version for the next artist if it doesn’t seem helpful to have them in hand. Thanks!
I agree with getting the hard copy. There are many other times when the pdf works great, but for the quality of these art prints, the real thing is worth it.
