Need help starting CM Support Group

I want to send an email to my local homeschooling groups to find out if there is interest in a CM Support Group.  Please help me write an email that will appeal to newbies and seasoned HSers.  Should I keep it short and sweet?  Should I write a blurb about CM?  I have a meeting place but have not set a date/time.  Should I pick a date first or send out a feeler message first?
