Hi everyone. I haven’t been on the forum much this summer. In fact it had been so long since I have logged on that I forgot my password and my old email address was no longer active! So anyway, I have a new logon but I am the Lindsey formerly known as “poodlemama”.
At any rate, I started a new blog series on nature studies. There are so many ways I’ve fallen flat on my face trying to implement the Charlotte Mason method (artist and composer study for one). But nature study is something that has really resonated with me, so much so that I am taking a Master Naturalist class with the Audubon Society. I am so excited that I would like to share what we are doing\ learning. I hope you will take a minute to look at my most recent post.

    I’m planning to cover:
    The child naturlist
The importance and benefits on nature
    Urban wildlife
Bring nature study into the 21st century
    The study spheres
    Nature journals
    Phenology
    Citizen science
    Winter nature study
Reviews of various book on nature

I hope you stop by and I would love it if you posted a comment!
    Thanks,
    Lindsey

Fun!  I can’t wait to see your future posts!

We have been making outdoors a high priority here, and it’s been amazing how much more nature we come across than we previously did.  It’s a bit difficult now with allergies being so bad, but we just struggle through it!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. The point about allergies is a good one. Two of my kids have allergies too– mostly in the spring. In fact we have an appointment with the allergist on Monday–I think I may see a future blog post in the making — Nature Studies when you gave allergies. Thanks for the idea!

Post #3 is up– they were originally meant to be all one post but it d a little much for one so I split it into 3,that is why I posted them in such quick succession. I think from here out I’ll try for one a week.
Thanks and here is the link
