    I just came across these wonderful living nature books by Sandra Markle.  She does them on Animals of Prey, Animal Predators, and Animal Scavengers.  We just read the Porcupines one and it was a prey book but by no means scary, I read it to my 2yr, 4yr and 6 yr olds.  I thought they were well done with great pictures (real not drawings).  My children listened intently.  Just wanted to share as I have not always found a lot of luck with this type of nature books.  Misty

    Thank you – these look great!  I just requested a bunch from the library.

    THere is also a “Mini Math Mysteries” book by her at the library that looks really cool.
