I was introduced to this series at the Charlotte Mason Institute conference. I’ve ordered all of the books used and the first two arrived today. I just finished reading Bird Watching with Margaret Morse Nice. It was a lovely book and only 44 pages. I think these will make an excellent addition to our nature study shelves. Here is a blog that describes them nicely.

There are only eight books in the Naturalist’s Apprentice Series, published between 1997 and 2000.

    • Pond Watching with Ann Morgan
    • Bird Watching with Margaret Morse Nice
    • Wildlife Watching with Charles Eastman
    • Bug Watching with Charles Henry Turner
    • Nature Art with Chiura Obata
    • Fish Watching with Eugenie Clark
    • Flower Watching with Alice Eastwood
    • Exploring the Earth with John Wesley Powell

Ooh! Thanks, Christie for introducing me to yet another series I must scope out. 😉

These look really good.  My library has one of them that I just put a hold on.  My DD10 is really into birds and flowers and nature stuff.  I think she’d really enjoy these.  Thanks

Missceegee, Did you find the flower watching book any cheaper than $80? These all look great. Thanks

I found all for $15 or less.
