My DD8 started on LOF last year (had to start at Apples and is now about to start Edgewood)
If I was CM directed, she would read the books herself-narrate to me what she learned and do the problems right?
I was having her narrate to me, but then I can’t help my other DD6 with her math…she is starting LOF this year and can read much of it herself but I may read aloud to her…DD6 would probably do well with MUS, but she really wants to do LOF like her sister. I also have miquon math that I may print out for her to use as well.
What is the best way to let the kids do LOF if they can read alone?
I also have a DS4 that is just doing free play right now and I plan on getting the new letter set sometime this year for him AND I am due in December so as much as the kids can do themselves is great (Thank you Charlotte!)nebbyParticipant
I’ve never had my kids narrate LOF. Doing the problems seems to take the place of that.
Nebby, do you just let them do the chapter and then you check the work?
I’ll be honest, I had to go back and read a chapter because I could not understand what it was talking about/asking for because I did not remember ever doing that in school, but I guess I don’t need to do that with every chapter.
