I thought I’d share my new blog about our CM homeschool journey. I’m posting about our current school year and things that work for us. Blogging is new for me, so we’ll see how it goes. If interested, you can visit http://www.learningwithcharlotte.wordpress.com

You’re so organized, Christie! I wish I had room to have everything in one place, instead of art supplies in one file cabinet, books for immediate use in the kitchen, books for later in many boxes under the bed, and misc stuff in another file cabinet in the hall.

Christie you have made me wish I had littles again! Lovely blog and I adore the colorful header – I shall visit often. Linda

I just posted about our first week of school. It was quite the adventure, but God is so good!

Just added your blog to my ever-growing reading list. I love your school room. We’re in our new house now, and I have just a room planned for our future. Congrats on your blog!

I love your schoolroom. Our school stuff is spread throughout the house. I wish I could get more organized. I did get another bookshelf, which helped. If it’s not too nosey, I wonder what kind of supplies you keep in the lower cabinets of the 3 bookshelves with the childlocks? I bought a 9 cube unit from Target and have not put it together yet. I keep debating to return it, so I am curious how well you like it. I love your nature collection on the top of the cube units. That is a great idea for the shelf on top. That would be a nice place for picture study print(s), too. I would use a favorite Scripture verse for the vinyl cling on the wall.

    Sarah,

The lower bookshelves with child locks have the less attractive stuff hidden behind.

    • LEFT – all kinds of paper, markers, glue, misc. drawing books, artsy stuff, but not the real messy stuff like paint.
    • MIDDLE – math manipulatives, Lauri puzzles, phonogram cards and games, this neat tool thing that hubby made – it has a little tool box w/ holes in the handle for bolts, nuts, etc. for little fingers to turn.
    • RIGHT – My stuff, computer paper, laminator, 3 hole punch, pro-click binder.

The 9 cube units from Target look nice and work well and though not the best quality, I think they are fine. One basket has our Artistic Pursuits, each kid has one for whatever. I love having our nature study and our picture study stuff on top.

I’m still noodling on exactly what to put on the wall.

    Blessings,

    Christie

LOVE your blog!  Thank you for sharing.  My daughter and I were admiring your school room – particularly the art and nature table.  She asked if we could make our school room like that!!  I wish!!  Maybe with time.
