It was at once a blessing and a very sad time for me. I felt yesterday for the first time that God had given me the grace to get through the day without tears! I’m praising him for what he has done in her and her husband’s lives. What a joy it was to hear the pastor say, “For the very first time, you may kiss your bride!” (At which time my 6 year old was heard to say, “I think he’s gonna knock her over!) I know that you all are seeking to raise up your children in the fear and admonition of the Lord and so I thought I would share this because I knew you would want to rejoice with us! (And cry with me! I had no idea it would be so sad!!)
Blessings,
Cindy

missingtheshireMemberI don’t think anyone know until the event happens to them – and then it hits like a ton of bricks. Congratulations to the happy couple and may God bless them both in their marriage and bless their mom’s who now see their little ones all grown up and independent. Linda
simple homeMemberCongratulations! My heart gets tender just thinking of that moment with my kids! It sounds like you practiced courtship with your daughter. Whenever you get a chance in the near future, I would love your insight on how it worked for you, the positives and any negatives, anything that you feel comfortable sharing! 🙂
Happy blessings to your daughter!
