I need help downloading at MP3 Digital Audio Book onto my Coby MP3 player.  I put the CD in my computer, transfer the files to my MP3 player.  Look at it from the computer everything looks fine.  But when I disconnect and open the book to listen to, the chapters are all mixed up!  When plugged into the computer it shows them with the chapter # in front and then the chapter title, when I unplug and just us the MP3 player the chapter # is gone and they are alphabetical. How do I keep the chapters in order so my 11 y/o can listen to the book?

Is your mp3 player set to “shuffle”  ?  If so, you’ll need to change it.  It just sees each track as a “song” and if you have it set to shuffle, it’ll shuffle them!  I don’t know how to do this on your mp3 player, but you could look online for instructions or ask your nearest teenager.  🙂

Thanks.  I didn’t find anything for shuffle but found auto sort and force sort and tried both of those and they don’t change anything.  Very frustrating! And I thought these things were supposed to benefit us not ’cause more stress!! =)

I have wondered if it is because it is a Coby and not Apple or some better name brand?  Some things I’ve downloaded from Librivox have been find and some have been mixed up.  This particular one is an MP3 disc.

I can’t speak to a non apple brand, but can say that apple iPods, iPhones, and iPads handle audiobooks beautifully.
