Modules 3-6 in three years instead of four?

O.k., I really want to stick w/SCM and was wondering the best way to complete 4 modules in 3 years. We will finish Greece this year, and will be ready to start Rome (module 3) next year…Ds will be in 6th. We have stopped doing SCM’s Bible portion because I needed to move older dd to something else because she’s going to private school next year, and I realized tha in order for ds to complete the history cycle by the end of 8th we’d need to move through the modules more quickly.

    So…what would you do?

    6th Modules 3 and 4 (Rome-Reformation)

    7th Module 5 (Early American)

    8th Module 6 (Modern American)

    OR

    6th Module 3 (Rome)

    7th Module 4 (Ren./Ref.)

    8th Module 5 and 6 (All American)

My only slight preference might be the 2nd option because we MAY do a coop next year w/a lady who uses MFW and this would match up to their history cycles if we went that route. Thanks for any input:) Blessings, Gina

Oops…meant the first option might work better w/our potential coop…but nothing’s decided. I guess what I mainly need to know is how many days Bible is scheduled to see if we just did History/Geo w/SCM if we could get through Modules 3-6 in three years…maybe I can figure from the samples if nobody has done this:)

Nevermind…I think I have a plan…unless someone else has done this and wants to share:) I need to figure a bit more of the math and maybe adjust some, but I think if we do Rome w/out the SCM Bible and do the other guides as written, but instead of spending a day on Geo/Bible (just scheduled one day per week)….tack that on to other days I think we might be o.k….

    Hopefully I’m not missing anything:)
