If any of you are using Module 1, do you bring any additional resources in so that you learn about history that was going on in other parts of the world…???…for instance things going on in Europe, Russia, China, etc….???….Looks like Mystery of History and Tapestry of Grace do something like that, however, I’d like to keep it simpler than that.

    Thanks!

I have a copy of Timetables of History which is a timeline in book form (HUGE book.)  I can simply look up the years we’re studying  and see if there are living books/resources that cover other events, countries, people, etc. from that time period.  I wouldn’t cover everything…only those things that we would be either really interested in or that greatly influenced the world.  Also since one of my sons was adopted from China, we’ll probably spend a good deal of time studying that.

Along the same lines as what Robin says is “All Through the Ages”; except the work of finding books has been done for you and it has a timeline, too.http://www.nothingnewpress.com/atta.shtml

Timetables of History (as Robin pointed out) andthe  Adam’s Chart of History are also helpful.
