hello! I plan on using Modern Times this year with my kiddos. We have the older guide. I’ve noticed that the newer guides have a shortened book list. Can I use the new list with the older guide? Would it work??

It didn’t mention the Modern times guide. Do you think we could just cut back on the individual literature by grade, but use the family studies as suggested in the older guide?
The Family studies are very similar between the two editions. The main differences are the geography lessons’ being switched to Visits to Asia and the Bible lessons’ being changed. But the history reading schedule is pretty much the same for both American and World history.
Most of the reading differences will be in the grade-level books, as you said.
