Modern Times and Epistles, Revelation Guide Question

We are finishing up the Early Modern and Epistles lesson plans and my 10th grader found his history readings very repetitive. I pre-read some of his assigned history books and also found that he was reading almost exactly what we covered together during our family reads(SON and SOA). We have used these guides since he was in first grade and I haven’t noticed this before. I’m wondering if the Modern Times lesson plans are also repetitive for the upper grades.
