    Hello All,

We’re diving into the middle ages guide this year and I’m looking for suggested books specifically about women during this time period. We’ll definitely pick up Joan of Arc but I am hoping for some other great titles you all have used and enjoyed. My 6th-grade daughter is giving me the side eye that many of our book titles feature “famous men”…

    Thank you in advance!!

    Marguerite Makes a Book

The Book of Margery Kempe – High school years but at that age she might be able to enjoy it. I haven’t read it so you’ll want to skim for inappropriate material, or just read portions of it.

Not a book, but interesting (for historical dress geeks like me, anyway): https://youtu.be/Ibj7GsfsCpI

Hildegard von Bingen lived during that time period. She composed beautiful music and wrote about various aspects of health. If you do music study you could include her as one of your composers. amblesideonline has information on her in their composers section.
