Memory work

    Besides Bible verses – what else would do add to memory work for a second grader and a kindergartener?

    I like to use hymn verses and a few short poems, but in early years it seems to me much more important to be filling hearts with the Word.

    I completely agree with “Bookworm”. The only thing I will ever require my children to memorize while they are being homeschooled is the Bible…everything else is optional.

    We also memorize the Westminster Catechism.
