math review box similar to scripture memory system

    I want to make a memory box for my dd7 to review math concepts. For those who have done this, did you divide the box by day, date, etc.? I was wondering if I should do that or have sections for addition, subtraction, money, time, etc. Any suggestions?

    Since we can mix and match scriptures, I thought that I would do that with some of these other skills like time and money to alternate their facts. =)

    My kids have an individual box and use it for all sorts of things – poetry, scripture, math, grammar concepts, etc. it’s set up exactly like the SMS.

    That’s a great idea, Sheraz. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. We use our SMS for poetry, scripture, scout mottoes, etc. I printed your math facts and plan to add them this week. Thanks!

    Thank you for the responses. It would probably be best to divide it like SMS b/c dd is familiar with that and she could do the review somewhat independantly or at least get started each day.

    Sheraz, your math box cards are very similar to the practice we do daily with the math wrap-ups. So I wanted to share that option for facts.

    Do you also have math box cards for time, money, measurements, etc.? I am interested in adding those in.

    I’ve eyeballed the wrap-ups, but haven’t purchased them.  I haven’t had time to do the money or other things, but if you create some, I’d love to see them.

    I love the idea of poetry…and the grammar idea is intriguing. I am going to give some serious thought about individual kid boxes – that might be a great thing for one of them. 😉
