Math on the Level with struggling learner?

I am just wondering if anyone has used Math on the Level with a child who struggles in math, and if it worked. Even if someone has not used it, does anyone know anything about it? My daughter really struggles in math.

The author is going to speak at our homeschool convention. The info that I read makes it sound like it would be for a child who struggles. Any comments would be helpful.
