    Greenebalts,

We have never tried MUS. The price always makes me look elsewhere, but the program looks great. You said this:

“Now we were blessed with a 3rd baby and he is totally different from the other two.  God has a funny way, doesn’t he Wink

YES! He most certainly does. 🙂 I have 3 older kids who all did VERY well with ABeka up to Alg then switchted to Homesat for high (with one exception of TT for geog). They all did GREAT! In comes our 4th blessing, in our old age no less (more of God’s funny ways, hehe), and she is not the same AT. ALL. I love her dearly! She has brought so much joy into this house. Has a wonderful since of humor, creative, can read AND comprehend very well. But math…..math. THAT is our struggle. So I am starting to heed the wisdom of others who say just don’t worry about it. Some kids are unable to read till they are about in 7th grade they they take off and become rocket scientist! I guess my kid is just not ready for formal math. But this hard headed mama just can’t let go completely. So, for us I think the key will be to back up, and just have fun. My little girl LOVES stores! She loves projects! She has always done well with our Five In A Row related math problems. I  don’t know why I have not made the connection sooner. Maybe because I was so determined to just make R&S work because I kept hearing how damaging switching programs can be. Well, for us I think the key is to FIND the right method to begin with THEN stay put. 🙂
