Map Trek or Knowledge Quest?

  • Hi Christie, yes you are right, the maps are historical to help understand and learn where things happened.  I still use Uncle Josh for blank outlines for drill – but mostly we use the historical ones now.  Example, there would be a map showing the location of the Native American tribes in color and then a blank one to use as you see fit, either copy from the other one, or have them study and try to remember where things go – if that makes sense.  I just skimmed some of the lesson plans and they are pretty good, I don’t use them, but if the girls were younger I would.  I think if you have Uncle Josh outline maps and then either Map trek or those from Homeschool in the Woods, you would have all the maps you need.  Your plan sounds great.  Linda
