My kids have been learning about Jamestown.  I was going to have them do a presentation, but I thought they could make an old book with the written narrations they have been doing, sort of like an old storybook.  I am going to make the book cover out of cardboard and cover it with burlap.  We are going to get paper, stain it with tea (to look old) and wrinkle it a little to give that antiquish feel.  I would like for them to write with an ink bottle and feather pen.  Any suggestions, we have lots of turkey feathers, but what to use or buy for the ink?

Sounds like fun!  I’d try India ink.
