Hi there! I’m newer to SCM and brand new to the SCMO.  I’m so excited to have such a flexible resource.  I am planning on largely using the SCMO as documentation not as a planner.  I pretty much just “do the next thing”, but really like the fact that this can help with my documentation of activities we have done and resources we have used. That being said, I have a question. I’ve tried to look through the posts here but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

Does anyone have experience with “loop” scheduling in the SCMO?  I’m looking to schedule our science and history during specific time chunks on specific days.  In regards to the loop, I would like to schedule the rest of our studies (narration, dictation, nature study, latin, computer programming, foreign language, art, grammar, etc.) in that manner.

For those of you with experience- have you found a way to do this?  Would I simply schedule everything for every day and then just check complete on the specific topics covered that day? I want the ability to at the end of the month/term/year to be able to print off a summary that lists what we did in “art”, “language arts”, “foreign language”, etc.  So if I schedule a loop series that includes multiple subjects I won’t be able to do that.

Am I making any sense?  Sorry if this confusing! Thank you for any input!

Yes,you can schedule all the loop subjects each day, and then just mark off which ones you did, no problem.

I’m think I may have the same problem/question you are referring to, but I’m not sure.  What is loop scheduling?

Scheduling every subject for every day is one option. If that long list every day would bother you, another way to go about it would be to schedule your loop subjects for Saturday or Sunday. Then click on the “Show assignments not originally scheduled for today” link at the bottom to access whatever you want to check off.
