I’m considering taking a break from studying Explorers next year and use the Prairie Primer. My children at the perfect age, 8 and 9. I know CM is not unit study, but I don’t know how else to pull the time period together without my brain exploding. If anyone has any other ideas without my buying the Primer, I’d appreciate it.
Or direct me to the section when we talked about this a few months ago; I couldn’t find it and I know there were a few websites recommended.
My frustration is the cost of the Primer itself and we would be skipping over a big chunk of history, then doing a u-turn after we were finished; but I really want to do it and am concerned if I wait until we actually get to the 1850’s, my children will too old to enjoy it as much.
On the other hand, speaking cost, I already have most of what I need for next year’s history. I just don’t know what to do; be totoally practical (which is what I’m known for around the house!) or go with my “feeling” (a little delight- directed?) and do it this year?
Thanks,
Rachel

MamasongMemberPrivate message me your address and I’ll send you my copy, I decided to wait a couple years to use it (my girls are 4 and 6).
Shalom,
Rachel
Rachel WhiteParticipantRachel,
I PMed you; I don’t know if it went through or not. I’ve never done it before. I would love and appreciate to borrow your copy this year and then send it back.
Shalom,
Rachel
marstarParticipantI just found this site while looking for another alternative to PP for studying the Little House books. I haven’t looked too deep into it but it looks like it would work great for a unit study
MamasongMemberYes, I got your message and will go to the post office tomorrow Hope you and your dc enjoy it!
