I was looking at the literature suggestions and in Module 7 is lists the Little Peppers Series. I am looking for literature for my 11 yr old son who is a VERY advanced reader. Does anyone know if this is a good series for him or do you have any other suggestions for this age?

Books my 11yo has enjoyed include C.S. Lewis’ Perelandra series, the Little Britches series, anything by R.M. Ballantyne, Sir Knight of the Splendid Way (recommended by a dear mom here and published by Lamplighter), many other Lamplighter books, Henty, Hittite Warrior, Robin Hood in the Old English, York and the Great War, Tripod series, Lord of the Rings, 20,000 Leaques Under the Sea. This is just a few. You can browse the book finder for literature and put in the grade range you want to include. I imagine you will find quite a few possibilities through that; I’ve gotten some great ideas in the past.

    Blessings,

I haven’t used the book finder much and didn’t realize I could look by grade range. That is a great idea. He reads almost constantly, but I want him to branch out a bit and try some things he might not choose on his own.

    Thanks for the help!
