Lit by grade?

    Do you break down Lit. by grade or just choose a group of books from the lists? Again, I would rather not read-aloud for two different grade-or do 4th graders read the books independantly?

    I usually choose a group somewhere near the middle of my children’s ages and read them aloud to the family. Books listed in about 10-12 grade, I assign as additional independent reading for those children.

    I am just moving to a more family oriented method…

    I plan to have a book somewhere in the middle for a family read-aloud…  and assign some other “grade level” books for each student to read on their own according to reading level.  I plan to group years 1-3 (if not reading independantly enough) to have another read-alound.
