Life of Fred…..what book to begin with??

    DS is in 8th grade, currently doing Saxon 87 and he hates it.  It is taking him 1 1/2-2 hours a day to do a lesson and he is WIPED out afterwards.  I really don’t think Saxon is for him.  

    I have heard great things about life of fred….. not sure if DS would like it but at the price I can try it and if it doesn’t work then I haven’t spent a lot of $$$

    thing is….I’m not sure where to start???

    If he’s good with fractions/decimals, I would get the pre algebra book and companion.
