What are you reading or listening to from LibriVox? It seems a lot of you post about using it, but whenever I look up a book on it, they don’t have it. So, what do they have?
Also, do any of you use one of the LibriVox apps? Which one? Do you like it?
jmac17ParticipantRight now I’m listening to Tanglewood Tales. In the past I’ve done Pollyanna, Just David, Little Lord Fauntleroy, Doctor Doolittle, At the Back of the North Wind, Discovery of the New Worlds, Alice in Wonderland, and others I’m not remembering right now. I use it as a way to find out which books I was to add to our read aloud list. My kids have listened to a few, but they’d prefer that I read aloud.
I use a podcatcher called PodTrapper that will play librivox files. I listen to several podcasts as well, so it’s handy to have things in one place. I also have an android app called Librivox Audio Books. I havent used it as much, but it seems to work fine. It gives a list of popular books, so I get ideas I might not have gone searching for otherwise. Then I can designate books as favorites so I can find them again easily.
MonicaParticipantRight now we’re listening to Peter Pan. We’ve also listened to Huck Finn, The Wizard of Oz series, The Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and countless others!
I don’t have a Librivox app. I just make it a point to look for books in the public domain that I’d like the kids to read.
TX-MelissaParticipantOn this board are some books we’re listening to from Librivox this year (except for Red Fern):

pangitParticipantThanks.
I downloaded Dr. Dolittle and Burgess Bird book to try out.
TGKParticipantWe just finished “Daddy Takes Us Skating” and are beginning “Miss Ashton’s New Pupil.” My 5&7 y.o. liked the first, but this is the first day of the second so I can’t say much about it.
I am also planning on “The Adventures of Buster Bear” and others by Thornton Burgess.
cdm2kkParticipantWe have listened to The Reluctant Dragon, Five Little Peppers and How they Grew (had to read 2-3 chapters because new reader had too strong an accent), Burgess Animal book, Princess and the Goblin, Five Children and It and I have Pollyanna on the schedule for next one…
jmac17ParticipantSo many audiobooks, so little time! I wasn’t the OP, but thanks for all the suggestions, everyone!
