Has anyone found material from Lee Binz helpful with creating a high school transcript, such as her workshops/books? Maybe some other source you could recommend for navigating the high school years and planning for the future?

    Thank you

I enjoyed her book Setting the Records Straight, which our library carries.

Another resource I plan on using for high school is The 5 J’s Blog.  They have a great HS credit planning form and a grade book.  You can use the grade-book for other grades, but I’ll just be keeping it for high school.  http://fivejs.com/homeschool-printables-downloads/

I’ve read some of her books that I was able to read for free. They are ok but I didn’t learn any thing new from them. However, I’m the type who loves research and I researched homeschooling high school long in advance before my children actually reached high school age.

Honestly, making a high school transcript is super easy and their are websites online that will walk you through the process and give you a free printable transcript that looks just as official as your local high school’s transcripts.

If you feel like you know nothing about homeschooling high school, credits, required courses, transcripts, etc. Lee’s resources would probably be very helpful. If you feel like you have a decent handle on things and just need a bit of hand holding, I would search for free blog posts and use a free transcript generator.

Thank you very much for these tips. I don’t know anything about any of it. My oldest is 14 and this is our 3rd year hsing.
