How much different is the information in the new DVD’s from what is already in the All Day Seminar and the Books ‘n Things?

If you scroll down on the Learning and Living page there is a description of each disc that should give you a feel for the material. Or were you looking for more detail than that?

I’ve got a minute to chime in here (before I go present a workshop at this convention in Washington, D.C.). My personal thoughts on how this is expanded and updated are that much of Discs 1-5 are similar to what was covered on the All-Day CM Seminar and the Books & Things Seminar; however, I have learned more about three school subjects in recent years (composition, foreign language, and math), so the explanations of how to teach those subjects are expanded with what I’ve learned. Disc 6 (Laying Down the Rails) contains the same principles as the previously released one, but I’ve gathered more examples and illustrations over the years and added them to the presentation. Discs 7-12 are new material, with the exception of the first half of Disc 10, Four Ways to Destroy Your Child’s Love for Knowledge, I’ve added a section at the end of that one about Spreading the Feast and principles we can glean from that word picture.

    Does that help?

Sonya, yes! That is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you! Now I’m going to have to do some rearranging in my budget for the DVD’s!

    A quick update…

We now have a link to the extra notebooks and the group showing information at the bottom of the Learning and Living page. The free downloadable leader’s guide is available now too.

Hey Sue!  I’d love to take you up on the offer, but we recently had a gullywasher in our parched part of Texas.  The mosquitos would swallow me whole before midnight.  Heh.

I already own the other two dvd sets and I would buy the new content discs if they were made available separately or a 5 disc add on bundle. Otherwise, I cannot justify buying a whole new set. I am happy with my sets and I am sure this new set is great.

    A couple more questions….

    1. Is the new Early Years DVD information included somewhere in this set?

    2. Is the simplifiying seminar that was discussed here a while back included?

    Thanks….I’m intrigued Smile

@Melissa – the simplifying workshop is not on here because they haven’t recorded it yet. This thread has more info, though, on that workshop:

Is the information from the CD Language Arts the CM Way included in this new set? Or would it be better to order that in addition?

    Thanks

The how-to’s will be covered on both. The LA CD has a little more overview/big picture information, where the L&L set covers those subjects but doesn’t lump them all together into a Language Arts step-by-step outline.

Wheee! I am so excited!  Our copy just got to my door and is sitting in front of me waiting to be watched as we speak! My kids just lost screen time for today! LOL
