I just started reading Laying down rails. I love the book but there is no help as far as what to do in each situation for discipline. Help! Does anyone know? Having a lot of issues at our house with interrupting and excepting the word NO, and all the arguing and fighting.

Have you looked at the companion book that just came out Laying Down the Rails for Children? That was created to help implement those “rails”.

If you download the sample for LDTR for Children, one of the habits it covers is courtesy. That habit would most likely address some of what you’re dealing with. The book is teaching of good habits, rather than dealing with bad ones. What I mean is that it’s not going to tell you what to do about a certain bad behavior.

We have just finished up courtesy in our house. We are doing it as a family and it has made us all much more aware of how we are treating others. I highly recommend doing it as a family so everyone’s working together. It is a great resource. Download the sample and try it out. 🙂
