    Okay, I guess I need to explore the SCM site a little more.  I did not know the explore on your own chart was updated now and I did not know about the recommended Latin resources.  I really thought learning Latin would be too hard, so I settled for teaching word roots.  But seeing the generous sample of Getting Started with Latin has me ordering it, and excited about it.

    So how does learning word roots and learning Latin work in a big picture plan?  Do you teach both?  Would you teach one before the other?

    I am actually starting a Latin class for a few families at my home this week! We will be using Song School Latin 1 for k-3 as a beginning course.
